A common question in the marketplace and from clients is “how much is the price per square-foot?” In construction and remodeling business it isn’t quite that simple. In order to answer that question we would need a lot more information and detail about your upcoming project.
Imagine someone asked, “How much will our vacation cost?” without first knowing where and for how long you plan to go and how you plan to get to your location. We are like a travel agent working with you to plan a great vacation.
Every Home is Unique
The details, specification, requirements and the costs are unique for every home. Our job is to apply our experience to help you fine tune the details of your wants and needs and then build affordable homes that meet or exceed those expectations while keeping within your budget.
It’s not that we cannot give you a price per square-foot cost, we will just need to get a better idea of what size, type, and the location of your home to arrive at a price that makes sense. To gain a better perspective it might be helpful to understand what goes into or affects the cost (or price) of a new home.
The costs of similarly sized affordable homes can vary due to their location, the footprint (square footage) of the building, the complexity of the rooflines, the lack or presence of a basement, the number of levels in the home and even the size of the garage. Many other items not directly related to the actual square footage directly affect the costs. This can include the design characteristics of the home and the interior finishes, and flooring that may be selected.
